Mary Beth Lamb has helped business people in more than 20 industries on five continents achieve peak performance and maximize return on worldwide business investment by developing cultural competency and effective international communication skills.

Lamb is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota, St. Catherine University, and Wake Forest .

She co-authored an acclaimed business book, "Do's and Taboos Around the World for Women in Business" (John Wiley & Sons), 1998, reissued in China in 2008, and contributed to "Women as Global Healers" (2010). She frequently writes and is interviewed for national media about building successful global organizations, leaders and teams.

In this interactive, practical session we’ll explore how to build successful virtual relationships that work across time, space, culture, and language.

We’ll:

• Explore challenges and best practices for staying connected while working remotely and globally
• Learn about two key cultural differences that most impact building successful virtual relationships with customers and co-workers worldwide.

As a result, we’ll walk away with best practices and resources to help us connect easier with with teammates and partners across the cubicle—and around the world.

Parking location:

Parking for the meeting is located in the FedEx Cargo lot, just west of AvFlight hanger two. You can enter the FedEx parking lot, off Bristol Rd, which is just west of the airport. There will be signage along Bristol road and in the FedEx parking area. Please see the attached map.

Airport tour:

Directly following the meeting, there will be an airport tour, for those who are able to stay. There will be a shuttle on hand to transport you over to the airport and return you to the AvFlight parking lot. Allow at least 20 minutes for the tour. We will show you air side and land side. Once you have gone beyond security and entered the air side you will have to stay with the group for the remaining part of the tour (roughly 10 minutes). For those who plan on attending the tour, we will need your full name and birthdate prior to the event.
