Presented by: Kelly Carter, Chair, Michigan Human Trafficking Commission Senior Attorney Specialist - Michigan Department of Attorney General
Kelly Carter has been an Assistant Attorney General for over 20 years in the Criminal Division with past assignments including the High Tech Crime Unit, Child Protection Unit, and the Mortgage Fraud Unit. For the past 10 years, she has focused on prosecuting human traffickers, having convicted over 2 dozen people under the state’s human trafficking statute.
As a result of this training, attendees will be able to:
- Differentiate between human trafficking and other crimes
- Recognize the circumstances which make human trafficking victims vulnerable
- Identify strategies to effectively recognize human trafficking victims
- Identify additional resources on recognizing and assisting human trafficking victims

Downriver for Veterans, our 2021 Charity of Focus, is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting local veterans in Downriver Michigan communities. They are dedicated to enhancing the pride and patriotism in all Michiganders by building a stronger, more supportive community around those who served us.

Direct Members, the Benchmarking Session is included in your event registration. There is no cost to attend the Benchmarking Session only.
