10:15 am — The State of the Industry 

As business travel increases, there is a lot of noise in the press, and from our travelers, on the current reality of business travel. True, we have had a challenging year so far but what is causing traveler disruptions?

Tracie Carillo, SVP of Business Development and Marketing for event sponsor Travel Incorporated is a travel industry veteran with a passion for leadership, technology innovation, and influencing the future of business travel. She will open with a perspective on the current landscape before digging into the day's work. 

This session will focus on the supplier's point of view and in-depth knowledge of their business. We will hear from our partners in each top spend categories – air, car, hotel, and travel management – on the state of the industry. We will discuss what the challenges are, how they are solving them, and the exciting things they see coming within their vertical.

This will be a lively discussion, with time for Q&A, as well as Tracie sharing updates as part of Travel Incorporated's sponsorship presentation.

Alex and Aliah from Hope Against Trafficking with be with us again this month!

Hope Against trafficking is a 24-month residential program that provides restorative housing and comprehensive services focused on physical, mental, emotional and economic transformation. This dedicated housing and programming is committed to serving adult female survivors of sex trafficking induced by threat, force and/or coercion.

From the travel manager's point of view, we will hear what is keeping them up at night. Tracie Carillo will lead a panel of expert buyers as they discuss the top challenges they have faced as travel has resumed, and how they have responded to the rapid return of travel and meetings.

3:30 pm — Conclusion & Prize Drawing

Who Should Attend? 

Travel buyers and suppliers as well as their colleagues in procurement, human resources, and security professionals. The topic, "The State of the Industry" will provide a great overview for all departments that touch the travel process. 

Registration Information

Registration must be received by 5:00 pm on Friday, September 16. Registrations received after this time will incur a $10 late fee. 

Benchmarking Session:

Direct Members, the Benchmarking Session is included in your event registration. There is no cost to attend the Benchmarking Session only.

Exhibit tables:

As of 9/13/22, we have sold out the exhibit tables!

Exhibitors are welcome to set up at 8:00 am and must be fully set up before 9:00 am. 6 or 8' table to be provided; table linens TBD (considering no linens to promote sustainability efforts.) Exhibitors may provide giveaways at their expo tables. Any displays should be contained in the small area around your table as space is limited. Prize donations must include all participants, not just those that visit your table. If you'd prefer, you may collect business cards or contact information at your table and draw a prize winner post-event.

Fall Wine Event

The Government Committee will host its 10th Annual Wine Drawing at the September meeting! Bring your favorite bottle of wine. Four (4) entries for $15 with a wine donation or two (2) entries for $20! 

Proceeds benefit the Chapter Challenge.

Hope Against Trafficking is our 2022 Charity of Focus. They have an Amazon Wish List created that you may purchase from and ship directly to them OR purchase something you see on the list at any other store and bring it to the event with you.
