Ever since technology was introduced into the corporate travel landscape, the ability for travelers to have a plethora of options in their bookings has led to multiple challenges for both corporate travel suppliers and managers. 

The primary challenge that arises from these options is that travelers choose them, which means they are not staying within the confines of the corporate travel program.This booking “leakage” presents multiple gaps in an organization’s travel program, including gaps in duty of care, compliance oversight, savings management, and more. Now more than ever this has become an area of focus with the changes happening around NDC. 

How did we get here, what have we done to solve this challenge, and what technologies have emerged to help bridge these gaps?

In August of 2019, Suzanne was named Business Travel News’ “Travel Manager of the Year.” Her accomplishments were recognized again three months later as one of BTN’s “25 Most Influential People in Travel.” A full-length article also chronicled the design and management of her program, describing it as “state of the art” and an “industry disrupter.” 

NDC is here whether we like it or not. Now more than ever, you need to educate your travelers on how, not where, to book so you can accomplish all your program goals and bring value back to your organization.

Registration Information

Registration must be received by 5:00 pm on Friday, September 22. Registrations received after this time will incur a $10 late fee. 

Benchmarking Session:

Direct Members, the Benchmarking Session is included in your event registration. There is no cost to attend the Benchmarking Session only; please note you will be attending when registering. 

Exhibit tables:

Exhibitors are welcome to set up at 8:00 am and must be fully set up before 9:00 am. 6 or 8' table to be provided; table linens TBD (considering no linens to promote sustainability efforts.) Exhibitors may provide giveaways at their expo tables. Any displays should be contained in the small area around your table as space is limited. Prize donations must include all participants, not just those who visit your table. If you'd prefer, you may collect business cards or contact information at your table and draw a prize winner post-event.

Guest or Non-Members: $350 Exhibit Table + One Event Ticket

The Annual Wine Drawing is now the Beverage Bevy!

In an effort to be more inclusive, please bring your favorite beverages to contribute to this Government Committee fundraiser. Funds earned at this event are our primary source of support for our chapter’s annual contribution to GBTA’s work in Washington, DC. Your active participation in this exciting event is encouraged and gratefully appreciated.

Drawing tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.00. For every item contributed to the auction, you will receive ONE FREE ENTRY. The Gov’t Committee can accept CASH, Zelle, Venmo or if you are a GBTA member, there is a QR code where you can pay GBTA directly (but be sure to indicate you belong to the best chapter – MICHIGAN). 😊
