Michigan Capital Day

In Collaboration With

The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) hosts a yearly legislative summit in Washington, DC. In 2024, over 100 participants engaged in discussions with U.S. Senators, Representatives, and their staff to advocate for policy improvements related to the business travel industry, such as sustainable aviation practices and visa processing reforms.

After years of experiencing the benefits of an event such as this, GBTA Michigan decided to host its own legislative summit: to bring to Michigan members the issues that impact business travel and how to collectively raise our voice to influence positive change.

Of particular interest to us are the state of Michigan airports. Some of the recent headlines include: 

Event Objective:
GBTA Michigan members will hear directly from airport executives about the realities of airport operations, funding challenges, and air service development. After the panel, we’ll head to the Capitol to discuss our concerns with elected officials.

Registration Information

Because this is an added event, there is a cost to attend. Registration must be received by 5:00 pm on Friday, November 8. Registrations received after this time will incur a $10 late fee.
